 The weekend weather could not have been better. Hot and Sunny with sea conditions like a millpond. Although not pre-booked we managed to get a dive arranged for the Saturday afternoon. Sue and Barry had a lovely casual drift dive with good visibility with Keith Dick and Les diving the Kyarra which Keith was amazed at the way Les's fins waved in the water whilst chasing lobsters. The dives on Saturday were a really good lead up to the Sunday Dive. Everyone really enjoyed them.
On Sunday we were met on the pier by Jo, Keith and Margarita for the day's dive. The first dive was on the Fleur de Lys. This being the first 25 metre dive for Barry, Sue was determined to get him to 25 metres by pushing him into the sand. Jo took his camera to take full advantage of his dive but when reaching the wreck found that his batteries had gone on the camera. No pictures there then. On the wreck were conger eels, crabs, lobster and various fish. There was lots of life to view. And to round off the first dive, on the boat trip in we had a display of the red arrows which completed a really enjoyable morning.
On the 2nd dive of the day the party split up with Jo, Keith D, Les,
Keith and Margarita doing a drift dive which was enjoyed by all in
spite of Joes neck seal and mask not sitting properly therefore seeping
water but they still returned with a crab. 
Meanwhile Barry and Sue planned a shore dive under the pier. Sue got
really excited when she manage to see a John Dory for the first time
close up but as she waded in, her excitement was followed by cramp in
both legs. Unfortunately for her Barry was unable to get rid of suit
squeeze which restricted his walking conditions. They both emerged
from the water looking like two old age pensioners but provided
entertainment for the spectators on the pier
With the weather and sea conditions as they were everybody agreed that it had been an enjoyable day's dive.
